Updated for 2016, our new application guides describe the Foundation’s current research focus areas and outline our funding priorities for research grants.
One of the most significant updates for 2016 is the announcement of the new direction for our use of research initiative. We will now aim to identify, create, and test strategies to improve the use of research evidence in ways that benefit youth. Our shift in focus from understanding how and under what conditions research is used to understanding how to create those conditions is outlined in detail in the supplementary guidance on studying the use of research evidence.
In addition to defining key terms and providing profiles of recent grants that illustrate the types of projects we support, the guides also offer step-by-step instructions submitting a letter of inquiry or application online.
Information for applicants, including the new guides, as well as FAQs, supporting materials, and descriptions of existing grants, can be found on the Grants page.
