Welcoming Rosanna Aybar as our New Vice President of Finance and Adminstration

We’re pleased to announce that Rosanna Aybar has been selected as our new Vice President, Finance and Administration, succeeding Deborah McGinn, who is retiring. Ms. Aybar will oversee the external managers of the Foundation’s endowment. She will also have responsibility for the Foundation’s budget, accounting, audit, human resources, and information technology systems, as well as management of the Foundation’s space and office operations.

Aybar brings to the Foundation more than two decades of experience in the nonprofit field. Since 2002, she has been the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer of the Posse Foundation, an organization that provides educational opportunities in communities across the U.S. During Aybar’s tenure, Posse’s assets grew from $2.9 million to $83.1 million. She also managed the financial and administrative side of a nationwide expansion which brought dramatic growth of the organization. Prior to joining Posse, Aybar served as Accountant & Assistant to Chief Investment Officer and VP of Finance at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation.

The Vice President, Finance and Administration reports to the President of the Foundation and is a member of the Foundation’s senior management team. As the Foundation’s chief financial and administrative officer, the VPFA is responsible for the effective management of the infrastructure that is essential to the success of the Foundation’s mission.

Aybar earned both an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance from Manhattan College. She has also served as Adjunct Faculty of Strategic Business Management at Manhattan College, where she taught a capstone course to students in their senior year, which focused on strategy, evaluation, and control; industry and organizational analysis; and corporate governance. Aybar lives in New York City with her husband, three children, and grandson.
