To support the Women’s Center/Children’s Center, a grant funded, community based mental health and primary health care clinic operating under the aegis of Montefiore Medical Center. Services address the needs of HIV infected/AIDS diagnosed women, their children, partners, and family members. The mission of the Women’s Center is the
provision of comprehensive integrated services and the reduction of the spread of HIV
infection. The Children’s Center is a therapeutic after school and summer camp
component of the Women’s Center designed to provide HIV infected and affected
children and adolescents with academic remediation; socialization and creative
opportunities; mental health care, primary health care, and supportive services; and the
opportunity to participate in a community of support.
