Citi Youth Program

Funds will enable the Municipal Art Society to introduce young people to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology through the online urban-planning and map-making system the MAS created two years ago in the COMMUNITY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INITIATIVE (CITI). The CITI Youth program will draw from this funding to select and train young applicants for civic-participation activities at the offices of local community boards and pay them a modest stipend to assist at community board meetings, thereby enhancing their personal development, their ability to work with adults, and their sense of achievement.
