Pathways are a sequence of supports such as counseling, academic tutoring, and work preparedness and experience. Kleinbard is reviewing the existing literature and interviewing state and local policymakers, funders, program operators, and youth. The resulting paper will describe the needs and challenges of the dropout population, the pathways available to youth in two cities, and recommendations for improving programs and services.
