Girls and Boys Projects Training and Implementation

This grant will support the development of a curriculum to reduce bullying and build positive self-esteem among Hartley House’s program participants.

Hartley House is a settlement house that serves youth ages 4 to 18 in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen community, offering after-school and day camp programs designed to enhance participants’ academic, leadership, social, and creative skills. As program participants are currently experiencing bullying and self-esteem issues related to body image and sexuality, Hartley House plans to engage Girls and Boys Project to design a curriculum aimed at reducing bullying and building positive self-esteem. Girls and Boys will also train Hartley House staff to understand and implement the new curriculum.
