Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) will partner with a social service agency to provide its staff with training and professional services to help student interns (grades 9–12) in the Garden Apprentice Program (GAP) manage difficult life choices. Staff members working in GAP are spending significant amounts of time with the interns, forming relationships and learning about issues the students are facing, including homelessness, drug use, and teen pregnancy. This project will enable BBG staff to better address these critical issues and provide support and referral services to interns in an appropriate and professional way.
