Operation Exodus wants to improve its After-School Program, which offers homework help, instructional tutoring, recreational activities, and a snack to 350 kids in three locations. The program lacks a formal science curriculum, and Operation Exodus want to increase its participants’ exposure to STEM and interactive science learning. Exodus proposed to purchase the KidZScience product, which will encourage participants to actively engage in scientific inquiry. Exodus will also train staff on curriculum implementation.
Operation Exodus Inner City promotes personal growth, high educational achievement, and leadership skills to underserved youth, with an emphasis on the Latino communities of Washington Heights, Inwood, and the South Bronx.
