Presbyterian Senior Services’ (PSS) Strengthening Grandparent-led Families program provides housing and support services to low-income grandparents over age 60 who are raising their grandchildren. PSS wants to improve its youth programming, which provides youth with homework help, life skills training, and legal services to help them avoid the foster care system. Youth programming currently focuses on younger children, although many of the participants are now high-school age and have concerns about post–high-school education and careers. PSS will establish the Young Adult Success program to help older youth apply to higher education, apprenticeships, internships, and job training programs. There will also be components on time and money management and on handling the responsibilities of caring for an aging grandparent
