Enhancing Diversity in Science: Collaboration on What We Meaure – When, Who, What, Why and How?

The Collaborative to Enhance Diversity in Science (CEDS), a coalition of professional associations and scientific societies, will convene a workshop of organizational leaders involved in developing scientists from under-represented groups. The workshop will facilitate the development of a common standard for collecting data on ethnicity and race across educational institutions, professional associations, and funding agencies. In turn, standardized data will enable CEDS to accumulate information needed to identify challenges facing these organizations and to recommend interventions to enhance diversity in the workforce.
