Grant

Bottom Line NY Career Program

The funding will be used towards hiring a Career Counselor who will be dedicated to working with upperclassmen who are on track to graduate within 6-years.

Bottom Line New York’s programs address the low college graduation rates of urban youth. Bottom Line wants to improve its College Success program, which provides guidance and one-on-one mentoring to students enrolled at 16 colleges in the New York area. College Success had difficulties meeting its employability benchmarks due to a lack of employment support to juniors and seniors who need help finding jobs after graduation. Bottom Line plans to hire a career counselor to work with upperclassmen who are on track to graduate within six years of college entry. The counselor will help students determine a career path and work toward internships and jobs in their fields of interest.
