The Committee for Hispanic Children and Families (CHCF) provides education and advocacy services to the New York City Latino community. Through its Opening Doors to the Future program, CHCF places up to 25 Brooklyn and Bronx youth in paid internships in partner companies and nonprofit organizations throughout the city. CHCF wants to improve the internship experience by providing workshops on professional skills (e.g., resume writing, interviewing) and financial literacy and career days and tours.
Funding will allow CHCF to add a college and career enhancement components to its Opening Doors to the Future internship programs.
