Child welfare leaders and researchers share a commitment to improving the lives of children, youth, and families, but their paths don’t often intersect. In addition, child welfare leaders are often unaware of or lack the financial and human capital needed to access, understand, and apply research. The two convenings co-hosted by the Annie E Casey and William T Grant Foundations bring child welfare agency leaders together with researchers to encourage the effective use of research evidence to drive their practice. The lessons learned from these convenings will be communicated to a broader audience through two white papers and blogs.
