The Mental Health Association of New York seeks to develop an internship program leading to permanent employment for a group of participants in its Adolescent Skill Center (ASC) programs, which provide GED classes, vocational and computer instruction, and job placement to low income 16- to 21-year-olds with emotional problems. ASC staff will develop relationships with large retailers in the Bronx to place interns, and will provide ongoing job coaching and case management services to the participants.
