Fiver Children’s Foundation offers an innovative program that provides support services for youth and their families over the course of ten years. Participants have access to educational workshops, summer camp, individual support, and other activities. Graduates of the program can be hired on a part-time basis as Program Associates to provide one-on-one support for youth and their families. However, Program Associates have reported feeling inadequately equipped to effectively assist participants across their varied needs. Fiver’s improvement plan is to hire a case-management consultant to document best practices and standardized procedures in a case management handbook and lead training to increase staff competency.
With this grant, Fiver Children’s Foundation will develop a case management handbook to better equip program associates with best practices for providing one-on-one services to youth participants.
