Futures and Options “empowers New York City’s youth, particularly youth of color and students from historically underrepresented communities, to acquire transferable professional skills, pursue higher education, and successfully compete in a global 21st century economy.” The organization will improve its programming by developing curricula for two core programs: Career Essentials, a workshop with hands-on activities and group discussions that span workplace-related topics including etiquette and time management; and the Internship Program, which matches students to internships at partnering employers. In a post-pandemic world, working remotely has become a new reality in the workplace. The new curricula will equip students to succeed in remote and hybrid occupations.
With this grant, Futures and Options will refresh their curriculum to ensure that students succeed in the post-pandemic workforce.
