Development of Training Materials for the Promising Practices Rating System

Investigators will prepare the Promising Practices Rating System (PPRS), an observational measure of process quality in after-school programs developed in our earlier research, so that it can be used more broadly for research and program development purposes.

Investigators will prepare the Promising Practices Rating System (PPRS), an observational measure of process quality in after-school programs developed in our earlier research, so that it can be used more broadly for research and program development purposes. They will develop an online, video-based training program for the PPRS. They will collect video from programs representing a range of quality, prepare training videos that illustrate key concepts and provide rating practice, prepare certification and drift videos to ensure observer reliability, and develop written materials to complement the videos.
