To help support the radio and Internet documentary “Will Power to Youth” which will explore an after-school program and its long-term effects.

The program serves low-income youth ages 14 to 21 in Los Angeles. Participants earn a paycheck, school credit, and life experience, by putting on an adaptation of a Shakespeare play. The program is not intended as training for young actors, but instead aims to teach punctuality and teamwork, and boost economic self-sufficiency, literacy, and appreciation for the arts. The hour-long “Will Power to Youth” documentary will air on public radio stations nationally and a companion Website will enable visitors to listen to the documentary in its entirety, read a transcript, see photographs of the program, listen to extended interviews, and delve further into the topic of after-school programs.
