Funding will support the dissemination of findings concerning the effects of low-wage work conditions, dynamics, and policies on youth development to policy makers and influentials in work and family issues as well as in youth development. In light of the pending re-authorization of the Workforce Investment Act, and renewed attention to issues affecting the working poor on Capitol Hill and in the states, this effort will target state child and youth advocacy organizations, work-family organizations, and policy makers with high levels of influence on the public agenda for the working poor.
Support was given for the dissemination of research findings on parental employment and youth development to policy makers and influentials.
