This grant will support the participation of five undergraduate students and one doctoral fellow in MDRC’s Gueron Scholars Program.

Do community college interventions reduce inequality in academic outcomes across racial groups?

How can colleges improve services and outcomes for African American male students?

What are the costs of implementing programs that improve the educational and employment outcomes of low-income youth transitioning out of foster care or justice systems?

MDRC and the Instituto del Desarrollo de la Juventud will address the youth workforce participation crisis in Puerto Rico.

Funds will be used for Judith Gueron’s speaking and writing engagements for foundation leaders, federal agency and congressional staff, research and policy organizations, and academics in public policy schools and economics departments to promote evidence-based policy.

The goal of this project is to develop a conceptual framework that assists in the identification and measurement of factors that contribute to the success of scale-up efforts.

MDRC will work with Foundation staff to plan and convene a meeting of leading researchers to advance work on analyzing variation in intervention impacts.

How do conditional cash transfers (CCTs) to low-income families affect youth time use, family interactions, youth academic expectations and motivations, and youth mental health and behavior problems?
