The Coalition will continue to work to advance evidence-based reforms in federal programs affecting youth.

Support was given for the 2008 Annual Meeting of the Society for Prevention Research.

Support was given for SPR’s 15th annual meeting, “Advancing Science-Based Prevention: Creating Real World Solutions”.

A group of neighborhood researchers will meet to examine the state of knowledge on the effects of neighborhoods on individual and family functioning and the methodological and measurement challenges in studying neighborhood effects.

Support was given for SPR’s 14th Annual Meeting titled, “Applying Prevention Science to Reduce Health Disparities.”

Dr. Gorman-Smith will work with the Coalition for Evidence-Based Policy in Washington, D.C.
