The Impact of Self-Assessment and Quality Advisor Support on Afterschool Program Quality

What is the impact of self-Assessment and quality advisor support on afterschool program quality?

The investigators will conduct a three-year pilot study to assess the efficacy of an after-school quality advising intervention, known as the Wisconsin After School Continuous Improvement Process (WASCIP). The Foundation has funded two previous pilot studies, the results of which made it clear to the investigators that WASCIP requires some revisions, particularly in the quality advising component. This third study will enroll 16 Wisconsin after-school programs funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. Eleven of these sites will receive up to 45 hours of support from an external quality advisor to complete the WASCIP process, while the other 5 will not participate in WASCIP.
