How do the translating experiences of immigrant youth change over time in relation to their changing linguistic and social competencies, and their families’ changing circumstances?

This project aims to explore the sexual landscape today and its impact on young women: their attitudes, behaviors and the implications of those attitudes and behaviors for life-long relationships, emotional connectedness and well-being.

What are the roles of social supports, expectations, and guidance in shaping students’ aspirations and college-going patterns?

What are the critical mechanisms in social settings that create positive youth development? By what means can we improve these positive settings?

How do the contexts in which low-income children and youth reside affect the attitudes of American adults?

How are child, family, school, and neighborhood contexts linked to participation in out-of-school activities, particularly for disadvantaged youth?

Young people from diverse ethnic groups partner with youth interns and adult community gardeners to develop and create murals that reflect their common goals and diverse backgrounds.
