Building Capacity and Bridging Research, Practice and Policy

The Forum for Youth Investment will continue to advance grantees’ capacities to conduct and share research by organizing two learning communities for Foundation grantees and connecting researchers with policymakers.

The Forum for Youth Investment will continue to draw on their relationships in the policy world and expertise in youth development and education to facilitate a convening of grantees studying the use of research evidence from our Foundation, the National Institute of Justice, and the Institute of Education Sciences. In addition, the Forum will maintain the research–practice partnership website to share resources on building and maintaining successful collaborations. Lastly, they will partner with the Foundation in organizing a mentoring workshop for early- to mid-career grantees and their mentees in order to support the career pipeline for junior researchers of color.
