The EFSG is a learning community of senior leaders from 30 national, state, and regional foundations committed to learning about and discussing the policy levers that best drive and scale systemic educational improvement. Core activities of the EFSG include quarterly meetings with education officials and thought leaders, policy updates on federal initiatives, and support for collaborations. Members also form working groups focused on shared interests. In the coming year, EFSG members will look to learn from states as engines for educational equity, innovation, and systems change. They will convene at least one quarterly meeting to learn from the states on the frontline of innovation and implementation in order to develop more equitable learning systems. Working groups will focus on topics such as professional learning and capacity-building for educators, social and emotional learning, and racial equity.
