Members of the Study Group on Race Culture and Ethnicity will conduct a meta-analytic model to examine the role of culture and context in ethnic differences in parenting and in relations between parenting (including racial socialization) and child outcomes.
Excavating Culture in Parenting and Socialization Processes among Diverse Families: A Meta Analytic Approach
The group will determine relevant constructs via consensus model, and develop guidelines for sample selection and data preparation to analyze the model (secondary data analysis). Investigators will prepare covariance matrices of their respective datasets to conduct the meta-analysis, compiled by a statistical consultant. In a second meeting, members will reconvene to review and interpret the findings, and plan for dissemination.
