Is helping youth behave well in after-school an early step in being able to involve them in engaging activities? This project looks at ways to help both staff and youth work together to build an orderly but supportive after-school setting. This feasibility study tests whether it is possible to implement the Good Behavior Game in after-school programs. This cooperative “game,” with teams of students competing to do their best, has been tested and shown effective in schools. If it can be implemented well in after-school, the team may be funded for a full experimental trial with over 60 after-school sites in Pennsylvania.
