Determining the Role of Scientific Evidence in Educational Policy and Practice

The investigators will use this grant to conduct a series of focus groups with state and local educational policymakers and practitioners.

Nelson and Kohlmoos will use this grant to conduct a series of focus groups with state and local educational policymakers and practitioners. The goal is to identify the conditions that influence the use of research evidence, other sources of evidence used in decision-making, and the factors that impede or facilitate the use of scientific evidence in educational policy and practice.
