Grant

Growing and sustaining a URE Methods Repository

This grant will support the revitalization and continuation of the Use of Research Evidence (URE) Methods Repository, a database which houses research methods pertaining to the URE field.

The Foundation funded the first phase of the URE Methods Repository in 2019; this second phase will grow, sustain, promote, and monitor the use of the repository to enhance its utility and impact. The repository was initiated in 2019 with a grant to Drew Gitomer to increase the transparency of methods used in studies on research use and promote greater use of existing measures. Gitomer and colleagues designed an interface and populated the repository with more than fifty protocols from across the globe. Boaz and Oliver will refresh the interface, establish a quality assurance protocol, and create further engagement around the resources available for researchers studying research use. Their goal is to improve on supporting information to help researchers use and adopt those tools for future studies, provide guidance on standard approaches for reporting research methods, and increase the visit rate.
