The Wheelock Education Policy Center at Boston University and the Indiana Department of Education will partner to improve outcomes for students with individual learning plans in Indiana as part of the state’s strategic priority of improving academic achievement and outcomes for all students. The partnership aims to be dynamic in conducting research that is responsive to Indiana’s needs and thus proposes three types of projects: landscape projects, impact projects, and just-in-time projects. The partnership will support the Department of Education staff’s capacity to use research to guide decision-making, particularly staff capacity to interpret quantitative policy research to inform and advocate for state policy decisions. The Wheelock Education Policy Center will pursue multiple initiatives to enhance faculty capacity to conduct policy-relevant research in engagement with policymakers.
This grant will strengthen the partnership between the Wheelock Education Policy Center at Boston University and the Indiana Department of Education.
