What are the formal and informal resources and supports that help youth with disabilities transition to adulthood?

What are the formal and informal resources and supports that help youth with disabilities transition to adulthood? This mixed-methods study will examine the experiences of youth with disabilities in the United States and the roles that family, community, and policy contexts have during the transition to adulthood. The investigator will examine the expectations and experiences of youth with disabilities using data from the Add Health study. Interviews will be conducted with 60 youth with physical and cognitive disabilities regarding the meaning, experience, and social context of transitioning to adulthood.
