Society for Research on Adolescence Young Scholars Program

This grant continues the Foundation’s support for the Society for Research on Adolescence’s (SRA) Young Scholars Program.

The Program recruits minority undergraduate students to pursue doctorates and research careers in adolescent development. SRA will select 20 young scholars through a competitive process, and pair them with 10 senior and 10 junior mentors. Senior mentors are PhDs with research expertise in adolescent development. Junior mentors are graduate student members of SRA. The program provides undergraduate students with a day of pre-conference activities, mentoring activities during the SRA biennial meeting, and a dinner with former scholars and mentors of the program to help them build their academic networks.
