This grant will enable Meeting Logistics to assist with the organization and implementation of the annual William T. Grant Scholars retreat and mentoring meeting. The Scholars Program supports career development for promising early-career researchers to stretch their expertise. The mentoring program helps William T. Grant Scholars and select research grantees strengthen their mentoring to support the career advancement of junior researchers of color. Convenings for both programs allow Foundation staff to cultivate learning communities that support grantees in conducting their research, navigating challenging issues, and strengthening their mentee–mentor relationships. Meeting Logistics will draw on their expertise to source meeting venues, develop communication and project management plans, and communicate with and reimburse meeting attendees. Philanthropy New York will continue to serve as the fiscal sponsor for Meeting Logistics.
