Good Call is a community-centered tech nonprofit working to disrupt the cycle of mass incarceration through a free 24/7 hotline, youth programs, and community outreach. Since 2016, their 24/7 hotline has connected more than 12,000 New Yorkers to immediate legal counsel during the critical hours following arrest. In the past two years, Good Call has expanded their outreach through youth-led canvassing, reaching thousands of residents with Know Your Rights materials and direct referrals to their hotline. Good Call will use their YSCG grant to strengthen their overall fundraising capacity in a number of areas: hiring a development consultant to design a multi-year fundraising plan; training board members and staff to actively participate in fundraising; implementing a donor management system to track, cultivate, and steward supporters; launching board-led fundraising campaigns and individual donor initiatives; and eventually hiring a part-time Development Manager in 2027 to lead this work beyond the three year grant term.
