This project will foster and facilitate new, high-quality research that can identify promising strategies for reducing educational inequality. Reardon will develop a data archive, which will include school-, district-, county-, and metropolitan area-level measures of academic achievement, achievement gaps, school, and neighborhood racial and socioeconomic composition, school and neighborhood racial and socioeconomic segregation patterns, school discipline and suspension rates, school funding and expenditures, and other features of the schooling system.
The Educational Opportunity Monitoring Project (EOMP) will assemble and disseminate data and research on patterns of educational inequality.
