Literacy Leaders

Creative Arts Team (CAT) will use this award to improve its Literacy Leaders program, which serves eight high-needs middle schools in New York City.

CAT will hire a literacy consultant to help redesign the Literacy Leaders curriculum so that it better fits each unit of the New York State sixth-grade English Language Arts curriculum. CAT will then train their actor-teachers to deliver the new curriculum.
