Second Year Curriculum Development Project

New York Youth at Risk wants to improve its Warriors Way and Women to Women programs—both two-year programs that serve 15–20 participants at a time.

Warriors Way focuses on boys in single-mother households and offers tutoring, mentoring, and weekend activities. Women to Women serves teen mothers, pregnant teens, and teens at high risk of early pregnancy, providing them with education assistance, case management, counseling, and mentoring. The programs’ second years do not have formal curricula and do not clearly build on skills acquired during the first years. New York Youth at Risk wants to engage a consultant to develop structured curricula and program design for the second years of both programs. The consultant will also train staff and conduct a post-implementation assessment.
