Grant

Toward a Shared Vision of Evidence-based Policy and Practice

This grant will support the planning and coordination of a roundtable on the use of research evidence aimed at policymakers and practitioners within the education landscape.

George Washington University’s Center on Education Policy (CEP) received a grant to co-host an event with the Foundation on the use of research evidence in education policy and practice. The goals of this convening are: (1) to promote the use of research evidence among key Washington policymakers and establish relationships across organizations, (2) to further thinking about what evidence-based policymaking means, and (3) to promote the Foundation’s use of research evidence work. Participants will include congressional staff; national groups that represent practitioners; state and local education leaders; and representatives of the U.S. Department of Education, the Institute of Education on Sciences, and the regional education labs.
