What we fund: Research on strategies to improve the use of research evidence

Improving the use of research evidence in policy and practice is a challenge that implicates researchers across social science disciplines and methodological backgrounds.

Here, Vivian Tseng outlines the Foundation’s call for proposals on research to illuminate strategies for improving research use in ways that can improve outcomes for young people. Underscoring how pursuing questions related to what she calls the “greatest intellectual challenge of our time” can represent a natural extension of one’s current program of research, Vivian shares examples of scholars who have received major research grants in this area after studying other topics at the outset of their careers.
