The lecture series, named in honor of SREE’s co-founder Larry Hedges, will promote the importance of advancing research methods in education. Each lecture will address a means to advance research, and how this research can be utilized in policies and practices to improve educational systems and youth outcomes. Lecturers will be selected by the Conference Program Committee for their potential to align to each conference’s theme, stimulate new research, and extend their messages to the policy and practice communities. Each lecture will also be published in the Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness.
This grant will provide an Inaugural Sponsorship of the Hedges Lecture, the Opening Address of the annual spring conference of the Society for Research on Educational Effectiveness
